Heather Archer, M.A

Senior Director of Flourishing Communities

Heather Daniels has a B.A. in Education and African-American Studies from Smith College and a M.A. in Education Leadership: Politics and Advocacy from New York University.  She has spent the past decade working with diverse student populations to lower the opportunity gap in education, and is committed to not only promoting equitable education practices, but also creating healing spaces in academic institutions. Outside of her work with Flourish Agenda, Heather she has spent the past two years working with EDvance at San Francisco State University to help ECE professionals gain key English skills in order to thrive in college coursework by facilitating writing clinics and workshops. She is also a college Lecturer and Coordinator for the Metro Success Academy of Child and Adolescent Development at SF State, which promotes high quality pathways for students interested in early childhood education.  Previously, Heather has also worked with UC Berkeley’s Center for Cities and Schools as a Program Coordinator to implement project-based learning projects with high schools throughout Oakland Unified School District as well as high school students from the Fukushima region of Japan.  Heather’s interests include: travel, holistic health, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
