Flourish Agenda partnered with the School District of Philadelphia to radically shift school culture using Healing Centered Engagement™—and the results speak for themselves. This groundbreaking report, developed in collaboration with the American Institutes for Research, presents the first data-driven logic model connecting HCE Certification and Akili Camp activities to measurable individual, interpersonal, and institutional outcomes. Through interviews with 86 certified educators and 170 young people who participated in Akili Camp, the study reveals powerful transformations: students experienced improved self-esteem, increased optimism, and enhanced conflict-resolution skills, while educators underwent healing-centered mindset shifts that fundamentally changed how they engage with youth. Perhaps most significantly, the research uncovered new outcomes like “Contagious Agency”—a renewed sense of happiness, energy, and motivation that spread through communities—and the profound impact of healing in community, where emotional safety enabled deep vulnerability and reciprocal healing. This report doesn’t just prove that healing-centered approaches work; it shows exactly how they transform lives, relationships, and entire school cultures.
